Safeguarding

Meet our Designated Safeguarding Team:

Whilst you are at Greenmount Primary School, you are expected to:

  • Sign in at the School Office and show a form of identification.
  • Wear your yellow ‘Visitor’ lanyard clearly displayed in the viewing panel so children and staff can clearly identify you when in school.
  • Not be alone with students, unless you have all relevant safeguarding checks completed by an appropriate member of staff.
  • Report any concerns to one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads. If they are unavailable please inform our office staff, who will seek out the relevant person to assist you.
  • When you leave the building you must sign out and return your ‘Visitor’ lanyard to the School Office.
  • If you have any concerns about a child, anyone is able to make a direct referral to either of the following:

Isle of Wight Multi-Agency Safegaurding Hub – 01983 823435

School Nurse – 0300 123 5224

Local Authority Designated Officer – 01983 823723 lado@iow.gov.uk

Police – 101 or 999

For further information please see the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies, both of which are available in the ‘School Policies’ section of the school website.
